Best beginner krita tutorials7/22/2023 ![]() You may actually be better off looking less at mechanical tutorials on what this or that thing does, and more towards general art tutorials, especially centered around contrast and colors, lights and shadows, and that sort of thing. Because of this I've had an impossibly hard time finding tutorials that fit what I'm trying to find, because I genuinely don't know what I'm even looking for well enough to google it.Īre you familiar with layer blending modes? That may be the elusive "next step" you're looking for.Ī lot of the things that make more complicated drawings look better are less about knowing what tools to use and how they mechanically function, and more about knowing what you want something to look like, and finding a more optimized way to achieve that. I apologize for being really vague, but I also genuinely don't know what I need help with well enough to effectively explain what I need help with. But I also make pretty simple art and would really like to be able to branch out more. The things I've listed that I do understand are all I've needed to make the art I've been making for years. Krita has so many different tools, and 90% of them I just don't actually know what they are.ĭoes anyone know of any good tutorials that maybe break down the available tools in Krita? Or any good intermediate tutorials, not too beginner, but also not too advanced? (Honestly my ideal would be if I could find a series of tutorials that start basic and slowly get more complicated if anyone knows of anything like that) All of the tutorials I'm finding are either a) beginner tutorials that have only information that I already know, or b) more advance tutorials that will assume that I know how to do things that I don't, or skim over them very quickly. But any of the other tools I just don't know how to utilize, or honestly even know what they are or what they're good for. I know how to draw, switch brushes, add layers, change opacity.
